Bopup Messenger is a highly secure, client-server instant messaging (IM) platform specifically engineered for internal corporate communications over Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and enterprise-level environments. Developed by B Labs, the platform eliminates the risks of public cloud-based IMs by providing a fully self-hosted, private communication network where no proprietary company data is stored on third-party servers over the internet. Core Security & Architecture
Bopup operates on a strict client-server architecture relying on the Bopup Communication Server to manage and orchestrate all end-user applications.
Robust Encryption: All transmitted text messages and file transfers are strongly encrypted utilizing a Diffie-Hellman key exchange to generate public/private keys, with the data itself encoded via the CAST-128 algorithm.
HIPAA Compliance: Because data is heavily encrypted and archived on a closed system, it satisfies the rigid data-privacy demands of medical and healthcare organizations.
Sealed Messages: For added physical privacy, a “sealed messages” feature forces recipients to click and manually unseal a confidential message to read it. This prevents passersby from glancing at sensitive information over an employee’s shoulder.
On-Premises Logging: The server requires a connected Microsoft SQL Server database to meticulously log, archive, and track all message histories, file distributions, and user actions for future compliance reviews. Key Enterprise Features
